Born in 2008, Charlotte started her piano journey at the age of five, and currently is under the instruction of Mrs. Marilyn Engle, professor of University of Calgary. Charlotte has been exceeding expectations continuously and wins many rewards nationally and internationally. Charlotte was recognized as the recipient of the Ann Southam Senior National Award for 2021. She was placed in the second of 2022 Canadian Music Competition (CMC). Charlotte has won the Young Soloist Award and Absolute First Prize in the Franz Liszt Centre International Piano Competition 2022, and First place in the 2022 San Francisco Articiál International Piano Competition. In 2023, She won rewards including a Second Prize Winner of the 2023 Bradshaw & Buono (USA) International Piano Competition, a First prize of the 3rd Franz Liszt Center Piano Competition (Spain), and a First prize Beecham International Piano Competition (UK). She is also an overall winner of the Steinway Piano Competition Canada 2023. Together with her violin and cello players, they won the first place of Junior Chamber in 2023 Lancaster International Piano and Chamber Music Festival. Charlotte was selected as one of six Festival Students in the 2023 Gina Bachauer International Piano Festival to perform in the Master Classes and Festival Students Concert in June 2023, Salt Lake City. She also attended The Talent Summer Master Courses and Festival in Brescia, Italy, July 2023. She studied in master classes with Bernd Goetzke, a professor at the Hanover University of Music and Drama. She was awarded to perform Chopin Concerto No. 2 with the prestigious Artematica Organization leader of the Master Orchestra. She had great opportunities of attending master classes from many great artists including Arie Vardi, Antonio Pompa Baldi, and Wha Kyung Byun. In addition to her piano studies, she plays the flute in her school’s concert band and also enjoys performing in chamber. Charlotte enjoys doing different sports, such as rhythmic gymnastics, synchronized swimming, downhill skiing and bicycling in Calgary.
