Born in 2000, South Korean violinist Yeji Lim began her violin studies at the age of seven. She completed her Master's degree at the New England Conservatory, and she is currently pursuing Graduate Diploma program as a recipient of Deans Scholarship under the tutelage of Nicholas Kitchen. Before studying at NEC, Lim was conferred the Bachelor of Music degree from Seoul National University under the tutelage of Young-uck Kim and Jimin Ham.
Recently, She was awarded fourth prize at the Irving M. Klein International String Competition.
In 2024, she received the Guadagnini for second place in the Bales Violin Competition. And in 2023, she won New York International Competion and she was awarded a debut recital at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall.
Lim also won prestigious competitions in Korea such as Sung-Jung competition, Nanpa Music competition, Music Journal competition, and the grand prize at Seoul Music competition. Lim has performed at Lincoln Center, Jordan Hall, Seoul Arts Center, and Lotte Concert Hall. Lim has held the position of concertmaster for NEC Chamber Orchestra, NEC Philharmonia Orchestra, Seoul National University String Ensemble, and Seoul National University Philharmonic Orchestra.
