Born in Tokyo, Aoi is a graduate of the Tokyo University of the Arts, where she studied with Prof. Asako Urushihara, Prof. Natsumi Tamai, Prof. Masafumi Hori and recently completed her master’s degree at the Berlin University of the Arts under Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg. She has participated in masterclasses, among others, Miriam Fried, Leonidas Kavakos, Mihaela Martin, Midori, and Donald Weilerstein. She has been awarded at numerous competitions and festivals including the Michael HillInternational Violin Competition 2023 in New Zealand and Balik Prize from the Villars Music Academy. Aoi has performed with orchestras such as the Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and performed at
festivals including Miyazaki International Music Festival. As a passionate chamber musician, she has been invited to Ravinia Steans Music Institute, Seiji Ozawa International Academy Switzerland, Zermatt Music Festival Academy, Villars Music Academy, Chamber Lab Montecastelli. Since 2024 Aoi has been a scholar of the Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz Foundation and Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. Aoi is currently pursuing her concert examination degree at Musikhochschule Lübeck in Germany.
