Jinjoo Baek was born in 1997 in Busan, South Korea. She attended Busan Arts Middle School in 2012, followed by Busan Arts High School, where she graduated with a music award presented only to the best students in the music department. From 2016 to 2020, she completed her bachelor's degree at the Korean National University of Arts under Professor Jinsang Lee.
In March 2021, she began her master's degree at the University of Music and Theatre Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig in the class of Professor Gerald Fauth and is expected to graduate in 2024.
From a young age, she won several competitions in Korea. Internationally, she received the Grand Prix at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre Competition, the 4th Prize at the Mimas Competition in Italy, and a Special Prize at the Madrid Competition in Spain. Recently, she was a finalist at the Eppan Piano Festival in Italy.
Jinjoo Baek has performed twice with the Bulgarian Philharmonic Orchestra and with the Busan Sinfonietta Orchestra. She also collaborated with the Altenburg Philharmonic Orchestra at the Gera Opera House. In Germany, she performed at venues such as the Schumann House Leipzig, the Old Town Hall Leipzig, and Steingraeber & Söhne in Bayreuth.
Since September 2022, she has been a recipient of performance-based scholarships and currently holds the Beate-Graefe Scholarship at HMT.
