Hikari Sahara won the Gold Prize, the Concerto Prize, and the Special Excellence Prize in the Concerto C Category at the 22nd Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia 2021. She also secured 1st place in the Concerto Division at the 2nd Sviatoslav Richter International Piano Competition (South Korea) 2021. The 1st prize in the Concerto Division and was awarded the Chopin Best Performance Prize at the Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition 2023 (China/Poland). The 1st Prize and Special Prize at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition (Belgium). Gold Award and the Best Prokofiev Performance Prize at the Excellence Piano Awards 2022 (Spain). The 1st Prize at the 8th Ischia International Piano Competition (Italy). Gold Prize at the Asia International Piano Academy & Festival Competition (South Korea). The 1st Prize in the Junior Division at the 24th Shizuoka Prefecture Student Music Competition. Silver Prize at The 8th Manhattan International Music Competition. Highest the 2nd Place, along with the Chopin Night Award and the Bechstccein Salon Award, at the 1st Nohant Festival Chopin in Japan Piano Competition. Silver Prize at the Carlos & Sofia International Piano Competition (Spain). The 2nd Prize in the Concerto Division at the 2nd Harmonium Plus International Piano Competition (Armenia). The 2nd Prize at the Gikryph International Music Competition (South Korea). The 3rd Prize at the 6th Paris International Piano Competition (France). Special Prize at the 14th Lyon International Piano Competition (France).

She has been invited to perform at the 51st Nohant Festival 2017 in France and the 38th Paris Chopin Festival 2023 in France. In the fall of 2023, she held her Piano Solo Recital at Barcelona in Spain. She hosted her chamber music concert “HIKARI SAHARA with the Warsaw Philharmonic Concertmasters” at Tokyo
Opera City Recital Hall in 2024. She is hold her Piano Solo Recital in Mont-saint-éloi at France on June 5th 2025.
In 2017, she held her Piano Solo Recital by all Chopin programs of the 279th Pause Series of the Japan Chopin society by KAWAI Japan Tokyo. In 2018 and 2024, she hosted her chamber music concert “HIKARI SAHARA with the Warsaw Philharmonic Concertmasters” and her Piano Solo Recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall. In 2018, she held her Piano Solo Recital by all Chopin programs at
Ota Ward Hall Aplico. In 2019 she has performed at concert organized by Prof. HITOSHI KOBAYASHI at Tokyo Toyosu Civic Center Hall. In 2022, she held her Piano Solo Recital at Tokyo Inagi Iplaza Hall. Additionally, in 2023 she performed at Prize Winners Concert at Palais des beaux arts Bruxelles. In 2023, 2024 and 2025 she has performed at concerts organized by Prof. HITOSHI KOBAYASHI at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Ongaku no Tomo Hall and Osaka Kaiseikan. She performed with the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland) on five times in Poland and Japan, as well as with the Prima Vista String Quartet at Poland, Showa Giglio Orchestra at Japan and Hamamatsu Civic Orchestra at Japan.

She graduated with honors from the Piano Performance Course of the Instrumental Music Department at Showa University of Music in 2017. She completed her Master’s degree at the same university in 2019. She studies under Prof. FUMIKO EGUCHI from an early age in 2002, she had piano lessons by Prof. Hiroko Nakamura and Prof. HITOSHI KOBAYASHI. She took part in the International Piano Master Class at the Katowice in 2015 and 2017, Hamamatsu International Piano Academy in 2013, Ishsikawa Music Academy in 2013 to 2016, Festival Piano Pic in 2022, Swiss Semaine Piano Academy in 2023 and Chopin International Master Class in 2023 and 2024. She early entry into the Second Cycle II at the École Normale de Musique de Paris in the fall of 2021and she got the Artist Diploma in 2024. She is currently studying at the École Normale de Musique de Paris Perfection course in 2025, she continue her studies with Prof. Jean-Marc Luisada.
She is the formal member of the Frédéric Chopin Society of Japan. This Frédéric Chopin Society of Japan is International Federation of Frédéric Chopin Societies.
