Born in Florence in 1998, Duccio Dalpiaz began studying the cello at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree under the guidance of Filippo Burchietti, receiving multiple scholarships from the institution. Thanks to the Erasmus+ program, he studied with Xenia Jankovic at the Hochschule in Detmold. He later attended advanced courses with Giovanni Gnocchi and Bruno Delepelaire and currently continues his studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Matthias Bartolomey.

He has received recognition in major international competitions, including:
• 1st Prize at the King’s Peak International Competition (2021)
• 2nd Prize at the Clara Schumann International Competition (2021)
• Winner of the Agimus “Attraverso i Suoni” Soloist Competition (2023)
• 3rd Prize at the Premio Annarosa Taddei International Competition (2024)

He has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player at prestigious festivals and venues, including the Amsterdam Cello Biennale, Festival Styriarte, the Sala Solitar at the Mozarteum, Sala Verdi in Milan, and the Teatro Niccolini in Florence.
As a chamber musician, he won the Crescendo competition with the Amerigo Vespucci Piano Trio and the Hyde String Quartet. Since 2016, he has been principal cellist of the Cupiditas Symphony Orchestra, performing in numerous theaters across Italy.
He has attended masterclasses with renowned cellists, including Antonio Meneses, Miklós Perényi, Jérôme Pernoo, and Julian Steckel.
He currently performs in Italy as a soloist, with the cello quartet I Tre Moschettieri, and in duo with pianist Leonardo Ruggiero.
