Anna Massi was born on November 10, 2002 and began studying the piano at the age of five at the Francesco Feroci Musical Institute of the Valdarnese Musical Academy in San Giovanni Valdarno, under the guidance of Maestro Andrea Turini. After being admitted directly by audition to the International Academy “Incontri col Maestro” Foundation in Imola, she graduated with top marks under Maestro André Gallo.
She has attended national and international masterclasses held by Konstantin Bogino, Riccardo Paris Risaliti, Roberto Giordano, Humberto Quagliata, Andrea Turini, Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, Enrico Pace, Igor Roma, and Ingrid Fliter.
Anna has gained significant concert experience, performing at numerous piano festivals and concert series in San Giovanni Valdarno, Caderzone Terme, Valdaone, Rozzano, Arezzo, Castello di Poppi, Pratovecchio, Radda in Chianti, Imola, Mileto, Cannes, Chioggia, Milan, and Rome.
She won the Valdaone Musical Interpretation Competition in 2018; the First Prize (Category B) at the Humberto Quagliata International Piano Competition – City of San Giovanni Valdarno in 2019; the Absolute First Prize (Category D) at the Humberto Quagliata International Piano Competition in 2023; the Second Prize at the City of Bucchianico Competition in 2024; and the Second Prize at the City of Cascina (Pisa) Competition in 2025.
She has performed several times J. S. Bach’s Piano Concerto BWV 1056 No. 5, W. A. Mozart’s Piano Concerto K. 488 No. 23, L. van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15, R. Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54, and W. A. Mozart’s Piano Concerto K. 595 No. 27. Recent performances of the latter include concerts with the OIDA Orchestra in Arezzo and with the Rossini Orchestra at the Teatro Sanzio in Urbino.
