Born in 1997 and raise d in Tokyo, Japan, Aoi Saito started playing violin at the age of 5 with Ami Watanabe at Toho Gakuen Music School and with Mami Teshigawara and Tsugio Tokunaga later. She completed her bachelor’s degree with Prof. Asako Urushihara, Prof. Natsumi Tamai, Masafumi Hori at the Tokyo University of the Arts and is currently studying her master’s degree with Prof. Latica Honda Rosenberg at the Berlin University of the Arts in Berlin, Germany. She has been former 1 st prizewinner of Osaka International Competition, Kobe International Competition, Violinwettbewerb der Ibolyka Gyarfas Stiftung in Berlin , and has become a semifinalist at the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition in Switzerland and the International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition in Finland. As a soloist Aoi has performed with Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed in various festivals and concert halls including the Miyazaki International Music Festival, La folle la folle journée Tokyo Furthermore, as an enthusiastic chamber musician she has participated in the Seiji Ozawa International Academy in Switzerland and also in Japan.
