Nineteen-year-old cellist Angeline Kiang is currently under the tutelage of Clara Minhye Kim at the Juilliard School. Previously, Angeline has studied with Clive Greensmith, Wei Yu, Amos Yang, and Sieun Lin. She was a winner of the Colburn Music Academy’s 2022 Concerto Competition and a prizewinner of the 2022 Stulberg International Music Competition and 2022 National YoungArts Competition. Previously, Angeline has also been awarded top prizes in the International Grand Prix Competition, Pacific Musical Society Competition & ENKOR International Music Competition. She has appeared on NPR’s From the Top (Show #379 and #399), and in 2019, she made her solo debut with the Golden Gate Symphony at Herbst Theater. An avid chamber musician, Angeline was a member of the Fervida Trio from 2017-2020. The trio won gold medals in the Junior Division of the 2019 Fischoff National Chamber Competition, 2019 Pasadena Chamber Music Competition, and the 2018 Yehudi Menuhin Festival Galante Prize Competition. In past years, Angeline has participated at the Festival Akademia Budapest, Heifetz International Music Institute, and Morningside Music Bridge Festival.
